The Line between Art and Life

Across the street from the American Hotel. a neighbor had a lot of problems with us. The building was run down. If it was gone they would have a better view of the L.A.skyline. We were too noisy etc.

I believed he called every city and state agency for us including but not limited to The Health Department, the police, Building and Safety, the State Department Equalization The Bomb Squad and the Swat Team.

So I thought I’d teach him a lesson. I called it The Line between Art and Life. A cast iron piece that would go in the roadway and a colored line of terrazzo, separating the two buildings leading to a sewer cap.

I paid $900 for probability study to Building and Safety. They said no. Their reasons were, ” If you do it everyone will want to do it”. And then they kept my money.
